An electrocardiogram (ECG) is a test of;

You will undergo the following tests:
- Blood tests to evaluate your hemoglobin level and renal function.
- Blood sugar testing if you are diabetic.
- Blood coagulation screen to ensure no excessive risk of bleeding or clotting.
- X-ray of the chest.
- Routine echocardiography (ECG) of the heart.
- A review of all the medications that you are on.
- Urinalysis to detect occult urinary tract infection.
- Nasal and groin swabs to detect occult Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA)
- Antigen testing for Covid 19.
- You will also be advised to undergo a dental examination prior to proceeding to minimize the risk of infection.
- If you have a history of pulmonary disease it might may be necessary to undergo pulmonary function tests, and review with a respiratory physician.
- Depending on the results of your ECG, it may also be necessary to perform a stress test, or echocardiogram. It may also be necessary to consult with a cardiologist.
